Abstract
The text analyzes the university experience of deaf students from a socio-spatial perspective, understanding space not merely as physical infrastructure but as an environment where bonds and identities are built. Through "social praxis", it shows that deaf students transform university spaces through their communicative practices, revealing the limitations of environments designed under hearing norms. "Deaf Geography" further explores how deaf individuals inhabit and re-signify spaces through their visual-linguistic experience, creating symbolic territories of resistance and community. Within this framework, "sociability" is understood as the set of relationships and practices that enable coexistence and belonging, where sign language plays a central role in interaction and identity construction. At the "Veracruzana University", the deaf community has begun to transform academic and cultural spaces through inclusive activities, showing that true inclusion goes beyond physical access—it requires symbolic and linguistic conditions that allow full participation and community building.
