The Youthful Faces of Bogotá Short-Term International Research Stay at the Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia

Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to demonstrate that the short international research stay constitutes a fundamental axis in the research training of the students of the master’s degree in architecture at the Veracruzana University, Xalapa campus, in Veracruz, Mexico. These experiences promote the articulation of academic networks with foreign institutions, which enriches the processes of knowledge generation, methodological exchange, and the construction of comparative views on various urban contexts. An example of this is the stay at the Del Rosario University in Bogotá, Colombia, which allowed us to expand theoretical and practical horizons through immersion in a different urban reality, as well as the social remuneration of knowledge.
