Aim and Scope
e-RUA is a research journal affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture–Xalapa at Universidad Veracruzana. It is published in digital format, with an option for print publication, on a semiannual basis, and is dedicated to the dissemination of research in architecture and urban studies at both the national and international levels. Its content typically includes original research articles and reviews of publications released within the previous two years. On an exceptional basis, the journal also accepts project narratives when their outcomes represent significant contributions to the discipline.
The journal also serves as a platform for the creation, continuity, and consolidation of the University Network of Urbanism and Architecture, which brings together the four campuses where Universidad Veracruzana offers its undergraduate Architecture program, as well as related graduate programs at the specialization, master's, and doctoral levels. It fosters collaboration with other national institutions engaged in architectural and urban research and welcomes contributions from the international academic community.
e-RUA welcomes submissions from researchers and students affiliated with national and international institutions whose work addresses topics related to architecture and urbanism, as well as the special themes announced for each issue. Approximately 60% of the journal's content consists of contributions from external authors, while the remaining 40% is produced by scholars from Universidad Veracruzana.
The Revista de Urbanismo y Arquitectura (RUA) was founded in 2008, and its inaugural issue covered the period from January to June 2009. Since then, the journal has been published regularly at the beginning of each six-month publication cycle and has undergone two publication periods. Issues 1 through 19 were published exclusively in print. Beginning with Issue 20, which was released in both print and digital formats, the journal entered its second publication period and became available online through the Universidad Veracruzana server. Throughout both periods, the journal has remained committed to serving the academic community and society at large.
