Metadata and Interoperability

To ensure high standards of metadata quality and interoperability, the journal uses DOIs and ORCID iDs to uniquely identify articles and authors.

A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a unique and persistent digital identifier assigned to each scholarly article, book chapter, or other research output. Its purpose is to ensure the reliable identification, location, and retrieval of digital content on the internet, even if the web address where the document is hosted changes.

An ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique identifier assigned to researchers and authors that enables the unambiguous attribution of scholarly work. It helps distinguish individuals with similar names and links their publications, research projects, and other scholarly activities throughout their academic and professional careers.

Together, DOIs and ORCID iDs enhance the visibility, traceability, discoverability, and interoperability of scholarly communication, facilitating the integration of the journal's content with international indexing services, repositories, and research information systems.
